Caarriella Woodruff

Carriella Woodruff born May 25, 2010 at 2:15 p.m. 8bs 21 1/2 inches.
I was scheduled to be induced but woke up at 3:30 a.m. with some pretty good contractions. The hospital called at 6:30 a.m. asking that I wait to come in due to the high volume of patients they already had. My contractions were progressive throughout the morning. We ran some errands and the hospital called while we were out. They were ready for us to come in. When I got to the hospital I was dialated to a 5. Even though I was in labor, they still gave me some pitocin to move things along. Matt had left with the kids and was going to return upon my request. Well, the doctor came in and broke my water and I ordered my epidural. I never got the epidural because Ella came really fast after my water broke. There was no time to wait. I told Matt to come on to the Hospital but he didn't make it in time. He seems to be ok with missing me deliver a baby without any drugs! So, we came home on Wed. afternoon and I'm glad to be home with my family. Enjoy the pics!

Earth Day 2010

Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in held on April 22, 1970. Earth Day Network, a group that wishes to become the coordinator of Earth Day globally, asserts that Earth Day is now observed on April 22 on virtually every country on Earth.

Happy Earth Day Everyone! We can all do our part to help preserve the Earth and make it an enjoyable place to exist. There are many thing we can do on a daily basis to contribute to the preservation of our planet. We are big recyclers in our family. We have differnet bins in our kitchen that we use to collect items to be recycled. We teach our kids about littering and why we shoudn't do it. I was proud of Spencer a whie back when he asked if he could cut the rings on the plastic from a 6 pack of soda we had finished so that no sea creature would be in danger of being caught in it. Matt is also an avid walker, bike rider, UTA user. Besides not wanting to spend the money on fuel, he is conscientious about the amount of driving he does. Those are just a few things we do to contribute, now what can you do?!

Moving yet again!

Today we signed a lease on an apt. It is in West Valley and still in the boundaries of the school where the kids will go. It's a four plex that backs up t the school and is across the street from the church. Those have always been two of our specifications. It's just a two bedroom so we will be cramped for a while, but it's within our budget right now and hopefully we can buy a house in a year. I will make sure everyone gets our new address.

It's a Miracle!

Well, it's been two years coming, but Matt finally got a job! He starts Tuesday with a company called PSI located here in Salt lake.. He has been appyling for jobs off and on for the last tw years and non stop for the last couple of months. He has had two interviews including the one this morning. This week he got a call from Denver with a possible job opportunity, but it wasn't going to pay much and would only be part time. We were going to accept it, had they called back. This morning, Matt got a phone call at 8:30a.m. with an interview scheduled for 10:00a.m. After he hung up the phone, he checked his email only to find another job opportunity. He was offered the job after concluding the interview this morning and accepted. The other job was the same pay rate but fewer hours. We are so grateful and still can't believe this is happening. All I can say is that the Lord has a plan for each of us and our prayers have been answered!

Blast from the past!

We went over to Matt's Sister's house the other day and she gave these photos to us. She had found them while going through her scrapbooking stuff. I do not even recall taking these. I'm glad she found them and gave them to us. Matt wrote on the back that these were taken January 2001. We were married less than 6 months. You can see them better if you click the image.

34 weeks!

Today marks the 34th week in my pregnancy, YAH! That means only 6 weeks left people! I'm getting to that stage where it's hard to roll over in bed and pick things up off the floor. I have very litte energy most of the time. The kids are pretty good to help when they see me struggling. I'm very excited for the day when Ella gets here. Then it will be a whole new set of struggles.

Matt has applied for a ton of jobs all around the globe and still nothing, but he found out about this program through the state that will pay for training in certain indiustries if you are unemployed and married with children. He has decided to get his CDL and try the whole trucking thing. I know, yuck, but we are at the end of our rope right now and it's an option. We'll see how it turns out. We don't have anything to lose at this point. He starts in about 2 weeks and the training is 4 weeks long.

Dentist

I took Kia and Wesley to the Dentist for the first time this morning. I know, it took me long enough. I'll admit, going to the dentist is one area that I don't pay enough attention to. Both kids did great! Kia had a sugar bug and they were able to take care of it while we were there. I took the kids to Granger Pediatric Dentistry and was very impressed. Now I need to get an appt. for Spencer. He has been before though.

33 weeks

Yesterday marked 33 weeks! 7 weeks to go, unless Ella decides to cook a litte longer. If she's anything like Kia and Wesley, she will be at least a week late. This morning Matt and I were remembering all the wonderful (and not so wonderful) things about having a newborn. We are really excited for Ellas arrival.

32 weeks!

Today I hit the 32 week mark in my pregnancy. 0nly 8 more weeks to go, that is if Ella comes when she is suppose to. My last two babies were a week late and I was induced with both, urgh! Everything is going well. She is moving a ton and I'm feeling, well, pregnant.

We are currently living with my parents while Matt is looking for work. We rented our house in St. George and put the kids in school here in west valley. Hopefully we will find some empoyment soon and be in our own place around the time that Ella arrives. We are so grateful for all the blessings that we have been given. I know the Lord has been an instrument in our lives but patience isn't one my virtues, that's for sure.
