Trip to California

We went on a trip to Southern California for an Art Appreciation tour. We visited many museums and gardens. We also had the opportunity to visit the beach and Disney's California Adventures. It was an awesome trip. A long bus ride, but we saw some really cool art. All of the pics of are of Matt and I. I didn't add any pics if the art we saw. These are just a few of the 287 pics we took during the 4 days we were gone. Grandma Woodruff was awesome to drive to St. George and keep watch over, I mean spoil, the kids while we were gone. I keep noticing things here and there that she stocked us up on. My laundry room is stocked with lots of soap and dryer sheets, the pantry has some new additions, we all have new beach towels, and the house is immaculate! I think i should have her come stay more often! WE love you Kathie (aka.... Grandma)

It was a loooooong bus ride.

Let us not share bacteria

I have a bone to pick with all of the people who work out at the gym that DON'T wipe down the equipment when they are finished using it. What's worse is the attendant sitting on his butt supposedly making sure everything is running smoothly, doesn't say anything to those who just walk out without cleaning the machines. Don't they realize they are sweating all over the machine and not to mention the person who used the machine before them may not have wiped it down. Ugh, I am so upset about this. I just might have to say something to the next person who doesn't clean their machine. I would be so embarrassed if I didn't clean a machine when I was done. So, with that I say "Thanks" to those who choose not to pass on their bacteria to others by doing their part to clean the machines when they are finished sweating all over them.

DAte NiGht

Tonight was the Elders Quorum Date Night activity. It was nice to go out without the kids and not even spend any money. Our babysitter didn't even charge us because we went to a church activity. She's awesome! Anyway, I ate WAY too much! I am so full right now I want to explode. I didn't get a chance to go workout today so tomorrow I'm gonna have to work my butt off, literally ;)

4 lbs.

I have been a little frustrated with my last few workouts. i have been getting alot of headaches! I can't tell if it has to do with my workouts or not. Anyway, I haven't been burning more than about 500 calories in those workouts when I get a headache. Today I went to the gym and did NOT get a headache. I burned 1000 calories and was feeling great, but I decided not to overdue it so I stopped at that point. I weighed myself before I left and it looks like I've lost 4 pounds. I hate the scale they have. It like the ones at the doctors office. I prefer a digital so I can really tell what the numbers are. I have a scale at home but it's not working :(

Not a baby anymore

Wesley figured out how to peddle his trike. Isn't he cute!

At the park

Today was such a beautiful day! We decided to go to the park. The park has a stream running through that the kids can play in. Spencer has gotten really good at the monkey bars, but he won't even attempt the pole, unlike our dare devil Kia! Wesley just like to wander around. I am so excited for Spring and many more trips to the park.

I am thankful for Crayola Washable Paints

Today I was talking to the RS President on my porch meanwhile Wesley had gotten into the paints. He had opened about 4 bottles and had a different paint brush in each one. Some had spilled on the kitchen floor (where he was) and then he proceeded to paint a plastic toy horse. At least he used a different brush for each bottle as not to mix the colors ;P I came inside and found him painting and began to clean up immediately. I didn't get upset with him. It was actually kind of cute. I put him in the bathroom to clean off the horse in the sink while I finished cleaning the rest in the kitchen. I wish I had taken pictures, but I wasn't thinking about that at the time.

Testimony

Last night we had Family Home Evening per Spencer's request. I am not that great at planning FHE most of the time, but I have Spencer to keep me in line. He wanted to color pictures of animals so we did a lesson on the creation. After the lesson, I bore my testimony. Matt said he wanted to say something and then Spencer repeated what Matt said. After MAtt bore his testimony, Spencer had his turn. That was the first time Spencer has ever born his testimony. I knew he had one, but I never heard him express it before. It was a proud moment for us as Spencer's parents.

Week 2

Last week I went to the gym on Mon.,Wed.,Fri., and Sat. I have made arrangements with Matt for him to watch the kids on those days so I can workout. It's the only way I'm gonna actually do it. I have to make it part of my day. He has gladly taken the responsibility and encourages me everyday. Anyone who lives in St. George that wants to join me is certainly welcome to. I go to the Community center in Washington between 9am-11am.

This morning I went to the gym and rode the bike for an hour. I rode 16.75 miles and burned 1000 calories! Wow, isn't that awesome?! Well, it is for me anyway.

I finally did it!

I got up this morning and walked Spencer to school and then walked over to the gym, which is behind his school. It is about 1/3 of a mile from our home. I bought an annual pass and had a good workout. I rode this bike thing (sorry don't know the technical name) for 11.17 miles and burned 500 calories. I don't think I've ever burned that amount of calories in one workout. That's alot of miles too! My plan is to go several times a week and burn as many calories as I can. This morning, I didn't have much time so I wasn't there long. I have a feeling I might turn into a gym junkie because I absolutely loved being able to focus on my workout and not be interrupted by children. It was some good alone time and went by faster than expected.
