Interview Questions

1. If you could have any career, what would it be?
I would really like to go to beauty school. I want to be a cosmotologist.

2. What is your favorite meal and why do you love it?
Lasagna, salad, and garlic breadsticks. Duh!

3. Where is your favorite place to be and why?
In my husands arms because I'm safe there.

4. If you could eat a meal with any one, living or dead, who would it be and what would you talk about?
This is a tuff one. I guess I should choose the Prophet or someone, but I wouldn't know how to talk to the Prophet. I think I decided on Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser. She would be all sincere and compassionate while we talked and then yell at me while I workout.

5. What is one of your favorite memories?
Waking up early on Christmas morning while my parents where delivering newspapers and opening everything. Then we'd go back to bed and open everything again in the morning. My parents never knew!

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions, so make sure you
leave me your email address. (I get to pick the questions).
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview others
in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them
five questions.

Happy 2nd Birthday Wesley!!!!!!

2 years ago today I was in the hospital with my new little guy. He would be about 2 hours old. That year was a hard year for our family. We had a lot of emotional issues that caused a lot of stress for all of us. Even though the kids didn't know what was going on, they could feel the contention and I know it effected them. Well, that is all history and Wesley is now 2 years old. I can't believe how time flies. Happy Birthday Wesley! We love you!

Wesley accidently saw his birthday gifts before he was suppose to. Spencer helped him open the Thomas toy and then they all had fun playing t-ball. Later after dinner we had cake and ice cream. Wesley was hipnotized by the candle like he'd never seen one before.

Finally.....The Bathroom is Finished!

Matt worked long and hard hours to make this bathroom nice. He did such a good job.I really appreciate the efforts he put into doing the job right and making it look good. I love the way it turned out and I had a good time shopping for the accessories. I forgot to take before pics besides the ones after everything was torn out, but let me tell ya, it wasn't pretty. The house was built in '78 and everything was original. Ugly that is to say. Here are some pics of the finished product.

Favorite pic of all time

This pic was taken on Valentine's Day 2000, just 2 days before I turned 19. It has been 9 years since I looked and felt like I did that night. One day.....
I have been really down in the dumps this week. I feel like I've been eating better, but I haven't been motivated to workout. I don't even want to walk Spencer to school or do chores. It takes all I have just to take a shower in the morning. This happens now and then, so I know it is just an obstacle. I am very frustrated with myself because I have this goal to lose weight but I don't want to work for it. It's just too hard. But it's harder to be FAT! I have a predicament. I need a miracle! I need a fairy God mother to magically appear and wave a magic wand to make me skinny again, but without an experation. Ah, woe is me. If life were only that easy.

Our Macbook has a camera on it and it has all these different settings for taking weird photos (I'm not really sure of it's purpose) so here are some that we have taken. Some are about a year old and some are newer. Just thought I would share these with everyone.

This is our new bathroom floor. Isn't it beautiful?! It needs to set for several hours and then Matt can start putting the bathroom back together. Yah!

Bathroom remodel

We saw an ad on craigslist for 50 sq.ft. of tile for $10. We went to look at it and the guy had alot more tile that he just gave to us. We have enough to do both bathrooms. Matt started with the Master bath and then he'll do the hall bath next. Speaking of the hall bath... I have a calendar of sealife and I'd like to use them in a creative way to make something cute for the bathroom. Any ideas? I also have a ton of seashells I can use.
This is the before picture of the bathroom. Matt still has to seal the grout for the tile and then I will take and after pic.

New Years Eve

Playing games with Grandma Woodruff on New Years Eve

Kia on New Years Eve. She fell alseep around 9:30. I didn't expect her to last long.

Happy New Year

Grandma came to stay with us during new years. I felt terrible because she came in the middle of us all being sick. We all had head colds and then during her stay, Spencer puked his guts out. I'm not embelishing one bit! Grandma was content to stay through all of this which I am eternally grateful. She helped out a lot with the kids and chores. When everyone got better, we went to the movies and saw The Tale of Desperaux (which was horrible in our opinion). We played lots of games and ate lots of food. Grandma also bought us new glasses and dish rags for our kitchen and a bathmat for the kids' bathroom. She also sent Matt and I on a date and paid for it! Thanks Grandma for all you do.
